I don’t know about you, but I’m very good at making excuses for not working out.
I can find anything else to do. Which is why I need classes to keep me motivated. This morning, as I didn’t want to get out of bed (the problem with having three days off work), I remembered I’d bought myself a new skirt on Thursday. Suddenly, I wanted to get out of bed. Which got me to thinking that if I had something new and cute to wear to work out, maybe I’d want to get up to work out, too!
Unfortunately, if I wanted to work out every day, that means I’d have to buy myself something new every single day, which seems, well, a little excessive, no? I’m not a katrillionaire.
Over at Sweetspot, I’m blogging about my un-dedication to running (aka laziness).
However, the awesome Nike peeps gave me a new pair of sneaks, and now I’m excited to run!
Still…I think I may need some other form of motivation that does not involve purchases. Who has an idea on how to work out when you really don’t want to? Anyone? Leave a comment!
Team sports are always a good way to get out!
Slo-pitch is tons of fun! (not an ‘intense’ workout, but its physical activity nonetheless). Playing twice a week helps me work off the ‘winter weight’ (a number that I will not disclose).
It’s really easy for me to fall off the wagon, so I had to think outside the box, the fridge and the shopping mall. When I’d rather vegetate in front of the TV than work out, I force myself to watch a half-hour of an old Biggest Loser episode first (it’s when they first arrive at the ranch, ready to bust out the Twinkies and Doritos). Usually by the first commercial break, I’m ready to put in some cardio.
